Animation guru Euan Fizzell was still working in 2d at this time, and he animated this TVC traditionally first. I then recreated his keyframes with the 3D rig and he directed my attempts to get the anim curves to tween it properly.
The character was achieved with blendshapes in 2d for the facial expressions which were then deformed over a patch shape that was skinned to a skeleton system for body motion.
